Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be another list-related announcement from a literary prize, in comes a big one – the 2013 NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. This year, aside from just honouring the works of our greatest writers, the biennial NSW Premier’s Translation Prize will also be revealed.

The lucrative awards are selected from hundreds of entries, with books having to be published between 1 October 2011 and 30 September 2012. The 28 strong judging panel is an independent committee of writers, academics, critics and sector professionals, who have whittled the shortlist down across the 10 categories.
