New design initiative all set for a material world

Victorian Minister for Manufacturing David Hodgett has announced a $40,000 grant to promote Materian, a new network created by the Design Institute of Australia to promote advanced material production in Victoria.

Materian is a new initiative of the DIA’s Colourways group which aims to unite researchers, manufacturers and designers in a quest to discover the most innovative materials created locally, and to explore new applications and opportunities for these materials.
