National review to determine future of Playwriting Australia

Already operating on a skeleton staff, PWA’s Artistic Director Lachlan Philpott and General Manager Michelle Kotevski have been declared redundant as the organisation considers its role and its future.

The country’s peak body for the development of new plays, Playwriting Australia, will shortly embark on a national review to determine its future direction and focus. The company’s reserves are to be placed in trust until the review’s completion, after which they will allocated in a way that is commensurate with the review’s recommendations.
