Joan Baez presented highest Amnesty Award for human rights activism

The legendary folksinger, songwriter and activist, American Joan Baez has been presented with Amnesty International’s highest honour, the Ambassador of Conscious Award for 2015. ‘With her mesmerizing voice and unwavering commitment to peaceful protest and human rights for all, Joan Baez has been a formidable force for good,’ said Secretary General of Amnesty International, Salil Sheety.
