The Australian musical King Kong, which premiered in Melbourne in 2013 to mixed reviews, has long been rumoured to be Broadway-bound.

Now a new composer has been announced for the production: Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown (The Bridges of Madison County) will collaborate with the show’s original composer, Marius de Vries, to prepare it for an American production.
