Groundhog Day musical in a Melbourne exclusive

Another big musical is heading to Melbourne in 2024.

Following hot on the heels of an almost identical announcement last month for Beetlejuice – swapping out Eddie Perfect for Tim Minchin – another new musical will be heading to Melbourne.

At the media launch for Groundhog Day the Musical yesterday (Sunday 1 October), Victorian Arts Minister Steve Dimopoulos spruiked the city’s credentials as the natural fit for musical theatre exclusives, while gently batting away the questions from journalists who seemed to want to use the opportunity to find out if he’d still have the same portfolio once new Premier Jacinta Allan announces her inaugural cabinet today.
