Circus Showcase 2013 will be presented at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Prahran from 27 November to 7 December.
The program will showcase the talents of 23 final year NICA circus students who are about to complete their Bachelor of Circus Arts at the Institute, the only degree of its kind in Australia.
The artists will perform a variety of eye-opening feats including the traditional circus fare of juggling, hand balancing, roman rings, hula hoops, clowning, as well as some more gasp-inducing acts of tightwire, cloudswing (a form of aerial trapeze), vertical rope, juggling, adagio (acrobalance), roué cyr (acrobatic wheel), swinging trapeze, Chinese pole, aerial hoop, swinging pole and tissu (also known as aerial silk).
