Australian appointed as Guggenheim curator

Dr Thomas Berghuis, Director of the Australian Centre for Asian Art and Archeology, will be relocating with his family to New York later this year to oversee the development of the Guggenheim Museum’s new Chinese art initiative.

Guggenheim representatives say their new project aims to ‘advance the achievements of contemporary Chinese artists and expand the discourse on contemporary Chinese art’.
