Another Catalyst grant…and it smells like pork

Fears that Catalyst funding is being used for pork barrelling won't be allayed by the latest grant announcement.

Minister for the Arts Mitch Fifield today announced $1 million will be provided through the Catalyst fund to acquire, preserve and maintain the family home of one of Australia’s greatest landscape painters.

The Cedars in the Adelaide Hills – and the Liberal seat of Mayo – was the home of renowned Australian landscape artist Sir Hans Heysen and his family, including daughter and significant painter Nora Heysen.
