2014 Adelaide Fringe breaks box office records

Ticket sales up by 10% at this year’s Fringe, cementing its place as Australia’s largest arts festival.

Approximately 447,000 tickets were sold across the 2014 Adelaide Fringe’s four-week program, generating an estimated revenue of $12.8 million (final figures are still being collated). Patrons also flocked to the Fringe’s program of free events, such as the festival’s opening night parade which attracted an estimated audience of 30,000.
