Lovers of chamber music are in for a treat, as Melbourne is set to host one of the premier music competitions in the world.

Over the second week in July, four piano trios and four string quartets from Australia, Japan, China, and Singapore will bring their best to the 2013 Asia-Pacific Chamber Music Competition. In the process, these young musicians will perform musical gems ranging from Hayden, Brahms and Ravel to Britten, Shostakovich and Westlake.
