Why working from home is killing your career

Working from home might sound like a dream come true, but it may well be putting your career at stake.

There’s no question about it, if you want to be recognised for the hardworking and passionate worker that you are, you need to be in direct vision of your employer. Many jobs may allow you to work from home, but if there’s an option to actually show up to the office – take it.

At least that’s what research conducted by the University of California and the London Business School suggests. According to them, one of the most important ways to get ahead in your career is to engage in what they call “passive face time”, which is only achievable by showing up to work in person.
