Believe it or not, turning down a job offer is sometimes a necessity. Even if you’ve been searching for a job for a long time and you’ve just recently received your first offer, this doesn’t mean that you should jump at the opportunity to accept.
If you truly believe that you won’t be happy in the job you’ve been offered, don’t take it. This might seem like common sense, but many people fall into the trap of accepting a job they’re not fond of ‘for a little while’, without realising that they can very well end up stuck in the position.
