On 18 February 2022, ArtsHub published an article entitled The rebuilding of Circus Oz begins written by Richard Watts.

ArtsHub and Richard Watts acknowledge that by reference to ‘the previous management of Circus Oz’, the article inappropriately questioned the integrity of the former Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Circus Oz, Penny Miles, and impugned both her character and professional reputation.
