Live performance sector’s survival depends on JobKeeper extension, peak body warns

Up to 13% of organisations operating in the live performance sector will wind up their business without an extension of JobKeeper, the LPA warns.

Live Performance Australia (LPA) has called for a targeted extension of the JobKeeper program, warning of significant damage to the already struggling sector unless the government subsidy continues.

‘If we are to play our part in Australia’s economic and social recovery, we need targeted government support to save jobs and companies beyond March. Our survival depends on it,’ said LPA Chief Executive Evelyn Richardson.
