In his freewheeling career Adelaide-based multidisciplinary artist Ryan Sims has turned his hand to textile art, costume, sculpture, installation, public/landscape art, performance and sound, film and media arts. There must be more but these will do for now. For TEDxAdelaide 2011, he took the little ‘x’ as a cue to create Edge-Stitch, perhaps in a literal attempt to take that ‘x’ to the frontiers of art, or perhaps to simply make a lot of cross-stitches.
