About the role

The Visitor Experience Coordinator plays a key leadership role in creating welcoming, engaging and memorable experiences for visitors to MAGNT’s Darwin sites, including the Museum at Bullocky Point and Fannie Bay Gaol.

You will lead the Visitor Experience team, oversee daily frontline operations and ensure exceptional customer service across all visitor interactions. This role balances people leadership, operational coordination and hands‑on engagement in a vibrant museum and gallery environment.

With a customer‑first mindset, you will coordinate staff rosters, provide training and coaching, manage visitor enquiries and group bookings, and ensure the safety and presentation of public spaces. You will also contribute to data collection and reporting that supports continuous improvement of the visitor experience.

The role includes acting as primary site manager every Saturday and ordinary days of work are Tuesday through to Saturday each week. Occasional out‑of‑hours work to support public programs and events may be required.
