About the roles
We are looking for engaging and experienced Teaching Artists in all art forms (Dance/Music/Drama/Media Arts/Visual Arts) to work with us in 2026 across a number of arts education programs across Australia. Our programs work in partnership with schools and communities to transform student outcomes and engagement and generally run during school hours across week days in school terms.
Requirements vary by program, with some roles requiring teacher registration and others requiring experience working in school contexts. More information about the projects, and areas required are below.

The Bridge – WA, SA, NSW, QLD (Cairns) – Applications close Sunday 15 February, 2026
The Bridge seeks registered music teachers to support mid‑career musicians as they transition into Teaching Artist practice. This program is designed for experienced educators who can mentor, guide and build the confidence of artists to work effectively in school and learning environments. Strong skills in mentoring, reflective practice and professional development are essential. Program runs for 10 weeks across Terms 1 and 2.
South Australian Wellbeing Directory – Applications close Sunday 1 March, 2026
Seeking Teaching Artists from any artform who are passionate about supporting young people’s social and emotional wellbeing through the arts. This role focuses on using creative practice as a conduit for learning about mental health, connection and self‑expression, rather than on artistic technique or outcomes. Ideal Teaching Artists can adapt their artform to create safe, inclusive and engaging experiences that support reflection and wellbeing. Applicants for this program must demonstrate relevant experience working in school environments. Programs are eight weeks in duration and operate in all terms across the school year.
Primary Production – NSW – Applications close Sunday 1 March, 2026
Primary Production is a two‑day, intensive song writing and music production workshop where students collaborate with professional songwriters/producers and a Song Room Teaching Artist to write, record and produce an original song. We’re seeking Teaching Artists in NSW who can work confidently alongside visiting creatives and support students through the full creative process across the two days. Ideal candidates bring a strong understanding of classroom practice and diverse learning needs, excellent small‑group facilitation, and the ability to keep students engaged, supported and on track to complete a song together.
