Limelight Arts Media Pty Ltd is seeking a team player with strong interpersonal skills to join us as a Subscription and Marketing Manager. Help shape the subscription journey for Australia’s classical music and arts lovers by managing our subscriber communications and strategic campaigns. This position will be 0.6 FTE (3 days per week).
About the role
The Subscription and Marketing Manager ensures the smooth functioning of subscription management for the company and will be actively involved in the development and execution of subscriptions marketing initiatives. This includes providing support to the Editorial team with a specific focus on effectively presenting, developing and sharing content on social channels.
We are seeking someone to plan and deliver subscription campaigns, manage subscriber communications (through tools such as Campaign Monitor) and ensure our lists and data are accurate. You will be responsible for the full subscriber lifecycle, from welcome journeys and renewal communications to special offers and list hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage regular annual subscription campaigns, including timing, offers (such as CD or ticket inclusions), prize draws and winner notifications.
- Maintain a year‑round calendar of subscription campaigns, coordinating with editorial, marketing and external partners.
- Act as the day‑to‑day liaison with our CRM provider for subscription product setup, fixes, automations and price updates.
- Manage subscription pricing frameworks and product changes, ensuring the website Subscribe page and CRM Subscribe site are accurate and up to date.
- Oversee and set up monthly renewal campaigns and annual win-back campaign activity.
- Manage key marketing campaigns during the year such as Artist of the Year, including asset creation and execution.
- Drive and innovate to support newsletter growth through tactical partnerships and campaigns.
- Set up and build competitions and giveaways.
- Brief and or design house ads for magazine, website and social media.
- Run campaigns to drive newsletter growth.
- Oversee the implementation of the events calendar and maintain daily processes.
- Work with the Editorial team on monthly sale tasks as needed.
About You
- Experience in email marketing, CRM‑driven communications or subscription/membership communications, ideally in media, publishing or arts.
- Hands-on experience with digital platforms (e.g. Campaign Monitor and WordPress), including list management, automations and basic reporting.
- Strong written communication skills and an eye for detail in offers, dates and terms.
- Comfortable working with subscriber data, imports/exports and collaborating with technical teams.
- Organised, collaborative and motivated by improving the subscriber experience and driving retention and growth.
- Experience producing or adapting content for social media.
- Familiarity with SEO and digital publishing best practice.
- An understanding of how audience data and performance insights can inform digital editorial decisions.
- Basic skills in developing image, audio and video content.
- A strong interest and broad understanding of our core artforms (classical music, opera, theatre, dance).
- An ability to work autonomously and in a small team, and to manage competing priorities/deadlines.
Conditions
The position is offered 3 days a week equivalent to 0.6 FTE. Salary will be based on experience and/or demonstrated competency.
Limelight operates from a Sydney CBD office.
