About the role
The Senior Event Producer is the creative force behind the City of Parramatta’s biggest moments—leading the programming and delivery of vibrant entertainment and public events that turn ideas into unforgettable experiences
As a Senior Event Producer, you will:
- Produce, program and deliver a diverse portfolio of complex public events within Council’s annual Events & Festivals program, aligned to agreed briefs, strategic direction, project frameworks and desired outcomes.
- Act as the senior project lead, coordinating internal Council event teams and managing external contractors and partners to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of events and festivals.
- Drive innovative thinking, continuous improvement and future-focused planning across the Events & Festivals program, incorporating emerging trends, technology, inclusivity and best-practice industry standards.
- Monitor, manage and maintain event budgets, timelines and reporting requirements, including preparation of Council papers, internal/external reports, and event briefs to support marketing, media and communications planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and ensure all event planning and delivery aligns with Council’s strategic objectives, policies and long-term goals to support community engagement, economic development and cultural enrichment.
About You
The successful candidate will have proven experience programming successful large public events, or similar activities or projects in the arts, cultural or related fields, demonstrating skills in complex project management and project leadership.
The successful candidate will also have the following essential requirements:

Tertiary qualifications, such as a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Hospitality (or related discipline) or another relevant qualification combined with a significant amount of relevant event programming experience in a project lead capacity (typically 5 years plus).

Proven experience delivering successful large public or private events, or similar activities or projects in the arts, cultural or related fields, demonstrating skills in complex project management and project leadership.

Comprehensive understanding of the production aspects of large-scale public events including the provision of sound and lighting, staging, site management, risk management and risk mitigation, public safety, traffic, security and crowd management, and waste management.

Comprehensive knowledge of the entertainment and events industry, artists, performers, booking agencies etc.
What’s on offer
We are offering a full-time permanent position with an attractive remuneration of $113,019.51 plus 12% superannuation.
