Production Manager
City Recital Hall is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead world-class live events.
City Recital Hall, Angel Place is one of Australia’s most acoustically exceptional music venues. We are home to a high volume and variety of music and talk events.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in bringing those performances to life.
As Production Manager, you will partner with artists, promoters and internal teams to develop practical, high quality production solutions that support the creative vision while balancing technical, safety and budget requirements.
The role oversees production planning, technical documentation, production budgets and crew resourcing, and provides strong operational leadership during event delivery.
Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will work closely with Technical Services, Programming & Events, Venue Operations and external stakeholders to coordinate production requirements from initial planning through to performance and post-event review.

Note: The role is completely on-site (no work from home available) and occasionally involves evening and weekend work.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in production management within music, performing arts, live events or festivals
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with artists, promoters, internal teams and external suppliers to deliver successful events
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Exceptional knowledge of live production systems including lighting, vision systems along with a good understanding across audio, communications and staging
- Experience preparing and managing production budgets, quotes and labour forecasts
- Experience supervising technical staff and contractors during event delivery
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and event risk management
- Valid Australian working rights and current Working With Children Check.
