Ideal for a detail-obsessed writer/editor who also loves a clean workflow, you’ll lead end-to-end EDM production and create channel-ready copy that helps audiences discover, choose and book their Festival experience. As an essential connector between our artists’ creative vision and our audiences, you’ll ensure Brisbane Festival’s incredible shows and events are communicated with clarity, energy and impact.The Marketing Officer – Content & Engagement works closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver high-quality copywriting, EDM production and audience communications that support Brisbane Festival’s campaigns and program. This role leads end-to-end EDM workflow (including segmentation inputs, proofing, QA and send readiness), manages copy approval processes and version control, and contributes to audience list hygiene in coordination with the Ticketing team.The role also develops community outreach communications content (templates, partner toolkits and community-facing copy), provides administrative and reporting support. This role also supports a program delegation.
Salary is $65,000–$72,000 p.a. (pro-rated) plus superannuation, dependent on experience.This is a six-month fixed-term contract from April to early October (through to 11 October). The role will commence at 0.4 FTE for the first three weeks, increase to 0.6 FTE for one week, then move to full-time (1.0 FTE) through to 11 October.
Roles and Responsibilities
With support from the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Officer – Content & Engagement will undertake:
- Copywriting and editing: write, edit and refine compelling copy for event pages, EDMs, key landing pages, campaign collateral and editorial, ensuring it aligns with Brisbane Festival’s tone and brand
- EDM production workflow: Manage the task list; develop strategy and content including required partner deliverables, coordinate segmentation inputs; oversee automations, versioning, proofing, QA and send readiness;
- Copy approval process management, including version control, deadlines and proof loops;
- Audience list hygiene inputs (segments, exclusions and suppression logic) in coordination with the Ticketing team;
- Community outreach communications content: develop templates, partner toolkits and community-facing copy;
- Manage program delegation tasks as required, including liaison and communications support for allocated events;
- Provide administration support and assist with reporting requirements.
- Support the Marketing Manager in additional marketing duties as required.
