Marketing Manager

Join Cementa as our Marketing Manager and take the lead in promoting the 2026 Cementa Festival, shaping its profile locally and nationally.

Cementa Inc. is a regional arts organization based in Kandos, Central New South Wales (NSW), on Wiradjuri Country. With a strong focus on community-driven and artist-centered initiatives, Cementa fosters contemporary practices and highlights First Nations leadership. The organisation’s two-year programming cycle includes residencies, exhibitions, and special projects that culminate in a flagship biennial festival connecting regional arts communities across Australia. The next Cementa Festival is scheduled for September 17–20, 2026, in Kandos, NSW.

Contract: Part-time (200 hours across the term of the contract)

Remuneration: $10,000 ($50 per hour) + Superannuation

Start Date: February 23, 2026

Location: Hybrid – work remotely with the potential to meet in Kandos on occassion.

The Role:

This is a short-term role contract for a Marketing Manager to work closely with the Creative Director and General Manager to:

Campaign development and delivery

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns across multiple channels for Cementa Inc. programs and events, with a key focus on the upcoming Cementa26 Festival in September 2026.

Content creation and coordination:

  • Draft, edit, and coordinate marketing content including social media posts, website updates, e-newsletters, festival collateral, and advertising copy.
  • Work with artists, staff and contractors to gather and develop content.

Publicity and media support

  • Coordinate media releases and support PR activity for Cementa26 and other key programs, in collaboration with the Creative Director and General Manager.

Brand coordination

  • Support the rollout of the Cementa26 visual identity and ensure brand guidelines are applied consistently across platforms and materials.

Key Capabilities (essential):

  • A genuine passion for artist-centred and community-driven arts practice.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in copywriting and proofreading.
  • Ability to work flexibly, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative, self-motivation, and a collaborative approach to working within a small team.
  • Experience using marketing and communications tools, including social media platforms and design software such as Canva or Adobe Suite

Key Capabilities (desireable):

  • Experience working with an artist-run initiative, festival, or community arts organisation.
  • Familiarity with regional arts contexts and working in small or distributed teams.
  • Experience working with artists and creative practitioners.
  • Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential; lived experience and demonstrated skills are equally valued.
