Junior Project Coordinator / Curator

Mamam is looking for a Junior Project Coordinator / Curator to support public art projects from planning through to delivery.

Mamam – Urban Art Agency– Remote (Melbourne-based)– Part-time, 2–3 days per week (8am-4pm)– $35–$37.50 per hour (+gst if applicable)This position is a part-time subcontractor role. Applicants must have their own laptop and ABN.

Mamam is a Melbourne-based public art agency delivering large-scale murals, public artworks, and creative activations across Australia. We work with artists, councils, developers, and organisations to bring public art projects from concept to completion. Recent projects include regional silo murals, major First Nations artworks, glow-in-the-dark activations, and ongoing council programs.

We’re seeking a hands-on, multi-hat Junior Project Coordinator / Curator to join our small, dynamic team. This part-time, remote role is open only to Melbourne-based applicants, as it occasionally requires in-person meetings and site inspections. The role suits someone who enjoys both creative and logistical work, is highly organised and enjoys being at the heart of projects from planning to delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the curation of public art projects
  • Coordinate logistics alongside our the team for mural projects from start to finish
  • Liaise with artists, clients and stakeholders
  • Attend in person and virtual client meetings and site inspections
  • Foster positive relationships
  • Prepare EOIs and presentation decks
  • Manage timelines, follow-ups, and project documentation

  • A genuine appreciation for art, with knowledge of Melbourne’s street art and mural landscape
