About the Role

This role oversees the effective planning and delivery of NIDA’s vocational training programs by reviewing and implementing subject handbooks and course timetables, engaging closely with teaching staff and students, and ensuring all training and assessment processes meet ASQA, RTO Standards, and NIDA requirements. The position includes regular teaching and assessment duties, contributes to meeting financial targets in collaboration with the Deputy Director Learning and Innovation (VET), and maintains high levels of learner and trainer satisfaction. It also supports broader organisational needs through additional delegated duties, while upholding best-practice principles in employment, equity, diversity, and workplace health and safety.

 

 

About You

You are an experienced and inclusive vocational education professional, holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or a higher-level adult education qualification), with a strong understanding of competency-based training, assessment, and vocational learning practices. You bring skills and current experience across at least two areas of the Entertainment industry, and you communicate with clarity, empathy, and confidence to support both learners and trainers. You excel at managing multiple projects, collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and creating learning environments where people from all backgrounds feel respected and supported. You demonstrate a commitment to equity, cultural safety, and inclusive practice, including a willingness to engage with and learn from the experiences of marginalised communities.

This is a full-time 1-year contract.

The base annual salary is $104,457 + 12% Superannuation, based on a 38-hour working week.

Considerations:

You are required to have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this role. This role is not suited to a working holiday visa holder.
