About the role
ACMI is seeking casual Exhibitions Technicians to undertake general tasks involved in ACMI’s exhibition installation and content change overs, preparation and installation of touring exhibitions and assisting with display maintenance as required. Other duties include providing administrative assistance to the Exhibitions team including ordering materials, updating exhibition documentation and other office-based tasks.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Previous experience installing complex small to large scale exhibitions, preferably in a cultural organisation.
- Demonstrated understanding of OH&S practices with an emphasis on the ability to identify potential hazards to staff and the general public with particular attention to the safe use of equipment and movement of objects.
- Demonstrated, practical knowledge and understanding of construction methods such as carpentry, painting and related technical tasks.
- Experience in the safe handling and movement of a wide range of artworks.
- A current Construction Induction White Card.

- Casual Grade 2.2 role, with a casual hourly rate of $44.18 plus super and allowances. ACMI is looking for flexible team members who are available to work weekdays, with occasional weekends and evenings.
