Woodward Productions📍 Ideally Brisbane based, open to Sydney or Melbourne, plus Touring.🕒 Full-time

PAY – $95,000 – $115,000

Woodward Productions is an independent theatre company producing bold, audience-first work across Australia and internationally. Our productions include The 39 Steps, The Woman in Black, and Little Shop of Horrors and A Very Naughty Christmas, with a strong focus on touring, remounts, and commercially successful seasons.

We are seeking an Executive Producer & General Manager to take senior responsibility for the producing, operational, and industrial management of specific productions alongside the company director.

This role is suited to a confident, hands-on producer who has run shows before and understands the realities of professional theatre production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive oversight of live productions from development to close

  • Management of budgets, schedules, contracts, and cashflow

  • Day-to-day operational and general management of productions

  • Leadership of producers, staff, and freelance teams

  • Oversight of touring, remounts, and seasonal programming

  • Responsibility for industrial compliance and employment frameworks

Essential Experience

  • 3+ years’ professional producing and/or general management experience

  • Demonstrated experience running live theatre productions

  • Extensive working knowledge of the Live Performance Award (LPA)

  • Strong familiarity with PCA agreements

  • Confidence managing budgets, contracts, and people
