The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra (ABO) seeks an exceptional Executive Director to lead operational and organisational performance for one of Australia’s most respected and internationally recognised performing arts companies.

Working in close partnership with the Managing Director & Artistic Director, the Executive Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation – driving business performance, overseeing financial sustainability, leading transformation initiatives, and fostering a cohesive, high-performing management culture.

This is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for translating strategy into action, ensuring operational excellence, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and supporting the continued artistic and organisational growth of the Brandenburg.

The successful candidate will bring senior executive experience (COO, GM, ED or equivalent), demonstrated financial and operational acumen, experience leading organisational change, and the capacity to work confidently across Board, executive, artistic and external stakeholder environments.

Experience in the performing arts or creative industries is highly desirable.

This is a Sydney-based role offering a competitive executive salary commensurate with experience.
