OPPORTUNITY

 

The Producer, Events supports the Manager, Major Events and the Director, Events and Production in the strategic planning and seamless delivery of events across the Carriageworks precinct. This position works collaboratively with the Venue Partnerships, First Nations Program, Production, Technical and Marketing teams to ensure that all events are executed to the highest standard, consistently exceed client expectations, and reinforce Carriageworks’ reputation for delivering exceptional experiences

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DAY TO DAY

As the Producer, Events at Carriageworks, your key responsibilities will include:

 

• Lead the production and management of events as directed, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with Carriageworks standards.

• Maintain consistently high presentation standards across all events and projects.

• Provide timely and accurate event-related information to internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Ensure all reconciliations and service-related invoicing are completed accurately and within required timeframes.

• Participate in client site visits, event planning sessions, and project meetings as required.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

• Prepare post-event reports and identify opportunities for process and service improvements.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems and operational efficiencies across the organisation.

• Foster a collaborative, sustainable, and high-performing work culture.

• Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) policies, procedures, and practices.

• Perform other duties as required and directed

 

 

PREFERRED CRITERIA

 

We are seeking an individual with:

Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent extensive experience, in events management or a related discipline.

• Experience in database management and venue-management software applications.

• A broad understanding of the events, arts and cultural industries

• Strong administrative capabilities, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and venue management systems.

• High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

• Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.

• Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
