About the opportunity

The Learning Innovation Office (LIO) plays a pivotal role in advancing the Business School’s education agenda. It brings together contemporary education design, media and digital capability, and a strong focus on an outstanding student experience to support the development of scalable, high-impact programs for modern learners across a portfolio of future-focused initiatives.

LIO are seeking a Design and Motion Creative to design and deliver motion graphics and digital assets for educational initiatives and projects led by the LIO. Working under the Manager, Educational Media, this role will draw on extensive experience and technical knowledge to produce both digital and video-based content to support the faculty’s strategic goals. 

 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • ideate, design, and deliver high-quality motion graphics and animations to support educational media projects, collaborating closely with the Senior Visual Designer and LIO colleagues to ensure alignment with project goals and learning outcomes

  • co-design engaging multimedia materials that enhance participant learning and interaction, providing creative and technical guidance across a range of learning media formats

  • stay current with emerging technologies, software, and best practice in multimedia production, and contribute to achieving team and strategic objectives

  • support video production activities, including assisting on shoots as required, and contribute to the development of digital assets to enhance educational media projects.

 

About you

  • demonstrated experience in a senior multimedia, design and/or production role, including the creation and production of high-quality video content

  • exceptional portfolio of design and animation work. The following examples provide a benchmark for content quality and the animation, design, and illustration skills expected in this role: Example 1 Example 2

  • proven experience in digital design, with examples of web-based graphic design and visualisation work

  • extensive hands-on experience with editing platforms and motion graphics software including Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. Premiere and Resolve desirable. Strong skills and experience in post-production.

  • experience in learning curriculum design desirable, preferably in a tertiary education environment with a passion for education and creating first-class learning experiences for students

  • strong teamwork, collaboration and relationship building skills to effectively with stakeholders.

  • we would like to get a sense of your visual storytelling skills, particularly around ideation, design and illustration.  Imagine the following script is being delivered as a piece-to-camera and you are asked to bring it to life using motion graphics.  Please provide the style / key art frames for how you might approach this.

 

Script / voiceover: Imagine running a fast-paced retail supply chain where a single choice can tip the balance—full shelves or bare aisles, loyal customers or disappointed ones. In our case study, that pivotal moment comes down to one challenge: how to move fresh seafood halfway around the globe and into stores in a way that’s fast, reliable, and sustainable.

  • tell us about how you might handle a situation where you received negative feedback from a stakeholder.  Provide an example of a previous experience

  • please provide a link to your portfolio that showcases your work across motion graphics, design and illustration.
