The Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled Content Operations Manager to lead the daily execution of our content strategy across multiple platforms. Reporting to the Head of Content, you’ll oversee editorial operations, guide our content teams, and drive efficiencies that lift quality, output, and audience engagement. This is a pivotal role for someone who has demonstrated experience in content operations for a commercial business, ,thrives in fast-moving digital publishing and is passionate about arts, entertainment and games media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day editorial operations across web, email, social, and video.
  • Implement digital-first systems to optimise content workflows.
  • Manage, mentor and roster a distributed team of writers and producers.
  • Sub-edit and ensure all content meets brand, SEO and quality standards.
  • Drive the delivery of commercial and sponsored content in partnership with Sales.
  • Champion video and multimedia storytelling as core to our growth strategy.
  • Use analytics to guide performance, audience retention and engagement.

About You

You’re a dynamic editorial leader who brings both creativity and operational discipline. You’ll have:

  • Proven experience leading day-day content operations in a digital publishing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, audience engagement and multi-platform content.
  • A track record of using technology and AI to scale content production cost-effectively.
  • Understands multimedia (video, audio, visual) production processes.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • The ability to thrive under deadline pressure and manage competing priorities.
