Company Director / Co-CEO
Tracks Dance Company has an exciting opportunity for a passionate, committed and driven individual to lead the company.
Reporting directly to the Committee of Management, the Company Director is responsible for managing the operations of the organisation and plays a key role in the company’s strategic direction.

Tracks Dance Company www.tracksdance.com.au is located in Garramilla (Darwin) on Larrakia Country in the NT and produces original and contemporary performance works that celebrate the place and the people who call the Northern Territory home.
A multi-awarded centre of excellence, Tracks is a hub of expertise in community connection built on an extended history of trusted collaboration.
Incorporated in 1999, and with a core staff of 8, Tracks is an innovator and a leader, developing Australian performance that values and utilises a diversity of practice.
Company Director Responsibilities include:
Development of the Company
- Contribute to strategic and business planning
- Develop strategic partnerships
- Contribute to Public Relations by participating in industry events
- Liaise with other arts organisations and related community groups.
- Manage government relations and funding applications including the preparation of applications, reporting requirements and acquittals
- Identify appropriate funding opportunities to support the organisation’s artistic program
- Manage fundraising (sponsorship and giving program)
Marketing and Publicity
- Maintain and raise the profile of the organisation locally, nationally and internationally
- Plan and oversee the implementation of the marketing strategies as required for productions, events and general company profiling
- Oversee the organisation’s online communications and promotional and advertising material
- Manage and liaise with media including writing media releases
Governance and Management of the Organisation
- Meet legal and governance requirements and act as Public Officer under the Incorporated Association Act for the organisation
- Act as Executive Director to link the operational arm and governance arm of the Company
- Manage and attend Committee of Management meetings
- Manage human resources and professional development for core staff
- Supervise the Administrator position and oversee office administration
- Manage the external bookkeeper and oversee financial management
- The Public Officer is on the Committee of Management.
Management of productions
- Approve WHS/ safety plans for productions
- Manage VIP events and invitations
- Produce contracts fixed-term and casual staff
- Manage contracts with venues/festivals.
REMUNERATION
The position is 0.8 and remuneration is $84,000 (Pro Rata) plus 12% super.
The position includes 4 weeks Annual Leave plus 10 Gift Days (Pro Rata) for office closure over Christmas /NewYears and 10 days (Pro Rate) Personal Leave.

Selection Criteria.
- Ability to secure, deliver and acquit government funding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering effective marketing campaigns
- Demonstrated high level administrative and management skills, including: strong people management skills; an ability to meet tight deadlines; project management experience; and experience working with diverse stakeholders.
- An understanding of financial processes, budgeting and reporting. A capacity to drive private fundraising for the company
- Community spirit and an ability to bring joy to the world
