Seeking a well-connected, experienced music/comedy Producer or Programmer with significant commercial experience (Consultancy Role).

Merrigong Theatre Company is a not-for-profit company that operates Wollongong’s premier performing arts venue, Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) and the city’s key civic and community venue, Wollongong Town Hall.

Merrigong Theatre Company is looking for a connected, experienced music/comedy Producer or Programmer with significant commercial experience in the live music and/or comedy industry to program live events which will appeal to local audiences and bring good financial returns, complementing the work of the Company’s core programming team.  The work can be done remotely, remuneration negotiable.

We are looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of experience with good track record of delivery
• Strong industry networks
• Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
• Proven expertise in contracting and budgeting
