We are seeking creative, industry experienced educators to join our team as Casual Art & Design Teachers. In this role, you’ll inspire and support students as they develop practical skills, creative confidence, and contemporary design knowledge across a range of visual arts and design disciplines.
You will deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences, drawing on your professional practice to bring real world insight into the classroom. Working within TAFE’s quality and compliance frameworks, you’ll guide learners through hands‑on projects, digital and traditional techniques, and the development of a strong creative portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality training in visual arts, design principles, digital design, drawing, painting, and related creative fields
- Facilitate practical, studio‑based learning that encourages experimentation, critical thinking, and creative problem solving
- Assess student work in line with competency based assessment requirements
- Provide support and feedback to diverse learners, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate training and assessment documentation and contribute to resource development
About You:
- Relevant qualifications in Art, Design, Visual Communication, or related creative discipline
- Current or recent industry experience within the creative sector
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for creativity, innovation, and helping students achieve their artistic potential
