Arts & Cultural Development Coordinator

The City of Karratha is seeking an Arts & Cultural Development Coordinator to drive bold, inclusive and meaningful cultural experiences.

Salary Package: $136,864 per annum plus super – Housing & relocation negotiable

About the Role

This is more than a job, it’s an opportunity to influence the cultural identity of a region. You’ll lead the development and delivery of innovative arts and cultural programs, build powerful partnerships, and champion storytelling that honours Ngarluma and other Aboriginal cultures.

From curating vibrant festivals and exhibitions to shaping public art and creative placemaking, you’ll play a key role in creating a rich, diverse and culturally connected community.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and implement the City’s Arts & Culture Strategy
  • Curate engaging programs across performing arts, visual arts and heritage Build strong partnerships with artists, Traditional Owners and cultural organisations
  • Drive public art initiatives and creative placemaking
  • Support and grow the local creative sector
  • Inspire participation and deepen community connection
