APS6 Business Analyst

The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the agency as an APS 6 Business Analyst in the Growth and Engagement Division.

Key accountabilities

  • Working closely with business stakeholders, understanding, discovering, defining, validating, prioritising and continuously managing business and customer requirements.
  • Translating business needs into clear and comprehensive technical specification.
  • Synthesising business and technical requirements and concepts and presenting them in clear and straightforward terms.
  • Providing input during the design phase, ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals.
  • Facilitating workshops and perform business analysis activities including business process modelling, business and solution requirements lifecycle management, and data modelling.
  • Produce clear and structured artefacts including business process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and current/future state documentation.
  • Working with an outcome focus, demonstrating an ability to effectively challenge the business while retaining a customer focus.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist business units in understanding change impacts and support end-user readiness activities.
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the most valuable features and requirements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, UAT preparation and execution, change impact assessments, and training coordination.
