SANDPIT is a cross art-form, experimental series of creative-play sessions. It holds space for artists to hone their tools in a condensed creative process, encouraging them to lean into pressure and optimised decision making. Artists choose how they want to engage, signing up either as a dancer/movement artist, or choreographer/creator.
The class will be led by an instructor who will allocate groups, followed by a few hours for participants to create a piece of art based on the given provocation, before returning and sharing what has been made.
Presented as part of DANCE24, an experimental dance festival from 22 May – 1 June.
