In 2025, Māhia Furia made history as the youngest sole ball curator in Ballroom Oceania, curating the inaugural Phoenix Ball at just 19 years old. Now, in 2026, the vision is bigger, the love is stronger, and the Oracle herself returns to present Phoenix Ball II: The Past, The Present & The Future, a journey through time, art, and the reclamation of cultural excellence.
Coming less than a month after Naarm’s first ever mainstream function Sissy Ball 8: Doll House (produced by the founder of our city’s scene, Mother Kianna Louboutin Oricci), Mahia returns to reinforce and celebrate the beauty of trans talent, fem queen excellence, and BIPOC expression through the kiki scene with this carefully curated love letter to Naarm ballroom and all the intersectionalities within its community.
Enjoy a night of Queer POC excellence and take a dive into the world of ballroom, where tensions run high and the talent is unmatched. Whether you see it in voguing, fashion, or beauty, you will experience our homage to the Black and Latin trans women who pioneered the international phenomenon that is ballroom.
