Part performance, part absurd expedition, Ocker sees a troupe of circus artists laying a portable railway track in real time as they race after something perpetually just out of reach. Weaving through crowds, around trees and across open spaces, the performers create a constantly evolving experience where no two journeys are the same.
Set against the backdrop of Gem Pier and Melbourne’s sweeping skyline, the show combines daring acrobatics, physical comedy and unexpected encounters. As the performers navigate obstacles, audience interactions and their own questionable decisions, the pursuit frequently veers off course, creating moments of humour, chaos and surprise.
Blurring the line between audience and performer, Ocker is an energetic celebration of curiosity, persistence and collective adventure, transforming an ordinary park into a playground of imagination, spectacle and spontaneous connection.
Ocker is proudly presented in partnership by Hobsons Bay City Council and Maribyrnong City Council as part of Fringe Westside.
