In this beginner-friendly workshop, experienced podcaster Nina Fromhold guides participants through the art of capturing life stories. Attendees will learn how to ask engaging interview questions, navigate the basics of audio recording and preserve personal histories with care.

Through a supportive process, clear structure and an interactive format with interview tools, you will gain the confidence to start recording and saving your family’s history and those special life moments.

Course requirements: bring pen and paper or a fully charged device to participate in the writing exercises.

  • How to structure an interview
  • How to do active listening and support your storyteller
  • How to work with storytellers to ensure they feel proud of their final story
  • What makes a great interview question

Nina Fromhold is the founder of Memory Lane Life Stories, a Melbourne-based business that makes life story audio recordings for families. Since 2018, she has been making high-quality life stories in private recordings.
