On Sunday 30 August 2026, the Camberwell Sunday Market will celebrate its 50th birthday. Created in 1976 by Balwyn Rotary to fund a wide range of charities, the Camberwell Sunday Market has since raised over $26 million for community and humanitarian causes, locally, in Australia, and around the world.
Balwyn Rotary, operator of the Camberwell Sunday Market, will honour the Market’s legacy, and strong community connection at the 50th Anniversary celebrations.
The Market endeavours to provide a place for handmade items, pre-loved goods, collectables and bric-à-brac. For 50 years, Camberwell Sunday Market has been more than just a place to shop; it’s been a place of connection, community and countless stories.
