These informal events demystify the artistic process and inspire a greater appreciation for the artworks on display, enriching your experience with the stories of the people and process behind the art.
Josie Cosgrove is a visual artist working across textiles, photography, and botanical printing. Her practice is process-driven, grounded in experimentation and a deep engagement with natural materials. Drawing on her connection to the Canberra landscape, she uses eco printing to capture the pigments, textures, and imprints of local flora, creating works that reflect the quiet complexity of the environment.
Katrina Barter produces grid-based abstract paintings designed to create spaces for contemplation based on her own personal memories captured in photographs and drawings. Barter is interested in the dynamic and metaphysical nature of memory and the elusiveness of consciousness as something we can define. She explores how some moments and experiences resonate disproportionately to our understood structures of time and space.
