‘My friend Tim Dick and I were journalists at the Sydney Morning Herald when we heard about a writing centre for kids in the US called 826 Valencia, started by novelist Dave Eggers. We immediately loved the idea of a special place where kids would be supported to write,’ recalls Dr Cath Keenan, co-founder of the Sydney Story Factory.
