Michael Williams exits the Wheeler Centre

Williams is stepping down as Director of the Wheeler Centre after a decade of conversation, podcasts and ideas.

Michael Williams, the debonair Director of the Wheeler Centre – Melbourne’s centre for ideas, writing and civic conversation – is leaving the organisation after 10 years.

Melbourne was designated a UNESCO City of Literature in 2008, after which the Wheeler Centre of Books, Writing and Ideas was established; a hub for a diverse range of literary and ideas-based organisations and activities.
