Steve Peters has seen Archibald entries come and go over the past 33 years. Today, he announced the winner of the $1,500 Packing Room Prize for the 24th time, a painting he described as terrific.
The Head Stores Officer at the Art Gallery of NSW (AGNSW), Peters and his team accepted, unpacked and registered 2,003 artworks this year, each vying for the prestigious Archibald, Wynne or Sulmann Prizes to be announced next week, Friday 17 July.
