Architecture Council enacts Gender Equity Policy

The Australian Institute of Architects’ National Council have officially approved a policy to help combat gender imbalance.

The policy is part of the Institute’s involvement with the Equity and Diversity in the Australian Architecture Profession: Women Work and Leadership project, funded by the Australian Research Council. The research found that participation by women is disproportionately low compared with the number of female architecture graduates.
