New home for experimental arts space

Testing Grounds loses one home to gain another thanks to the $100 million Melbourne City Recovery Fund.

Testing Grounds, an outdoor space for creative practices encompassing art, performance and design, will relocate to Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market precinct following the loss of its original Southbank home.

Performances, events and other site activations at Testing Grounds ended in September this year.

‘Testing Grounds has provided creatives with vital space, support and opportunities to develop their ideas and connect with audiences for the past eight years,’ said Minister for Creative Industries Danny Pearson.
