RESIDENCY: Ausdance ACT has partnered with QL2 Dance to offer their Curated Residency Program. The partnership will contribute $500 in cash to four QL2 Dance residencies aimed at creative development for emerging and established artists in Canberra. Applications are currently open

SCHOLARSHIP: Applications have opened for the 2021 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship for Australian painters between 20 and 30, in partnership with the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW). This year, the Scholarship will be judged by Australian multidisciplinary artist Abdul Abdullah to select five recipients. Included will be $10,000 for each recipient and a 2-week residency at the Shark Island Institute in Kangaroo Valley, NSW between 1-15 November. Also offered is a mentoring session with Archibald Prize-winning artist Ben Quilty, as well as visits by other arts industry professionals. Applications close Monday 9 August, with finalists announced on 27 October with an exhibition at the Brett Whiteley Studio.
