Meet Victoria’s new Minister for Creative Industries

The Hon Danny Pearson MP steps into Martin Foley’s shoes following a Cabinet reshuffle. So who is the new Minister and what does he know about the arts?

Danny Pearson, the Labor Member for Essendon, has been appointed Victoria’s new Minister for Creative Industries.

He took on the portfolio last week following Martin Foley’s appointment to the Health portfolio, in the wake of the previous Health Minister’s resignation from both the Cabinet and Parliament.

‘The creative sector has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and I will work to support local creatives and advocate for them as we go through this challenging period,’ Pearson told ArtsHub.
