States block Fifield’s new MPA Framework

Cultural Ministers in several states are blocking changes to the Major Performing Arts framework before the Federal Government enters caretaker mode.

The Federal Government’s review of the Major Performing Arts (MPA) framework has hit a snag, with up to three states refusing to support Federal Arts Minister Mitch Fifield’s proposal for a new National Framework to replace the current National Framework for Government’s support of the Major Performing Arts Sector.
